Where to buy oils and fine foods
Right, where can you get hold of all these delicious delicatessen products and olive oils that I've mentioned elsewhere?
Well, one option is to try them at restaurants, as mentioned elsewhere in this guide and then purchase them directly from the producer (it's often worth calling ahead to make sure they're open and willing to sell to private individuals) or buy them from local shops on your travels.
Übeda and Baeza both boast a wide range of gift shops that also sell delicatessen products and oils, but these tend to sell their wares more expensively than where the locals do their shopping.
So which outlets am I talking about?

Butcher's Shop, Úbeda
For a start there's an excellent butcher's shop in Úbeda called Carnicería Madrid Muñoz on the main shopping street in town (Calle Nueva). They sell excellent fresh cordero segureño if you have access to a kitchen and a yen to get cooking, but also make their own cured sausages and perhaps the best morcilla en caldera (a local speciality I've already described in this guide) you'll ever taste. What's more, they stock a couple of excellent oils at a lower price than in most gift shops – aimed at consumers, not tourists.
If you're looking for a wider range of oils, I'd recommend Enoteca El Druida in Calle Trinidad, who boast an excellent top-end selection of wines from all over Spain and oils from many parts of Jaén.
Finally, if you're after excellent fresh veg, look no further than the town market. Local mini berenjenas (aubergines)and alcauciles (a kind of semi-wild artichoke) are worth snapping up if they're in season.
